On April 27, 2016, ChinaSF co-hosted an event with Beijing Makerspace promoting the ChinaSF Tech Sandbox Platform, an initiative established to assist Chinese tech companies to expand their business in San Francisco. After ChinaSF's North China Representative Sam Dreiman introduced the platform, an eventful discussion took place about how startup culture differs between San Francisco and China and how the startup communities in both regions are being shaped by the growing trend of co-working spaces, accelerators and incubators. Leading the panel included notable guests, Ma Rui (Partner at 500 Startups), Zhang Ming (Partner at People’s Squared) and Su Di (co-founder of You+). In addition to the 60+ people in attendance, the event was streamed live and was tuned in by more than 1,200 people.
And check this out! Beijing Makerspace has added a “ChinaSF Tech Sandbox Platform” link on its new app that serves as an information center for Chinese tech startups. Thank you Beijing Makerspace for your efforts to promote the Tech Sandbox Platform across China!
